✨ About The Role
- The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for driving to ZERO defects and scaling production at suppliers for satellite manufacturing.
- This role involves establishing phase gates for new product introduction and managing supplier activities to achieve full-rate production.
- The engineer will work closely with design engineers to ensure that appropriate inspection processes are in place at both the supplier and Astranis.
- Performing supplier audits and qualification activities to certify contract manufacturers for flight hardware production is a key responsibility.
- The role requires generating quality clauses and statements of work to ensure clear communication of requirements to vendors.

- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or a similar technical field is essential for this role.
- Candidates should have 2-6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, design engineering, quality engineering, or supply chain engineering.
- A solid understanding of mechanical engineering and manufacturing principles, including machining and assembly, is required.
- Familiarity with supplier quality processes and tools, such as production part approval process and advanced product quality planning, is important.
- The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective countermeasures.
