- The R&D Engineer will contribute to the development of technology and knowledge to design, build, and measure FRC fusion devices - Responsibilities include controlling pulsed power systems, designing and building plasma and high-energy experiments, and working with large-scale vacuum systems - The role involves understanding plasma physics, designing and interpreting magnetic and plasma diagnostics, and using LabView-based control systems for Fusion generators - The engineer will collaborate with other teams to develop technical solutions, identify strengths and weaknesses of different technical approaches, and work towards generating electrical power from fusion - This position offers the opportunity to work on groundbreaking technology at Helion Energy, contributing to the mission of building the world's first fusion power plant.

- Experienced engineer with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in aerospace, mechanical engineering, physics, or related field, and at least 3 years of relevant experience - Skilled in designing, building, and operating complex experiments, with a focus on high vacuum chamber systems or high-voltage capacitor/power supply experience - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively to develop technical solutions - Demonstrated track record of tackling complex problems, defining and accomplishing challenging objectives with minimal guidance - Fast learner with a desire to work on cutting-edge technology in the field of fusion energy
