✨ About The Role
- The Security Engineer will focus on all aspects of Detection & Response, including infrastructure and operations
- Responsibilities include innovating to solve novel security problems, collaborating on cutting-edge AI research, and using AI to improve OpenAI’s Security posture
- The role involves driving projects in major security verticals such as AppSec, InfraSec, OffSec, and Detection and Response
- Tasks include innovating on Detection and Response infrastructure, building tools for managing detection rules, and automating manual response processes
- The Security Engineer will also ensure visibility and control of OpenAI’s endpoint fleet, drive improvements across identity access and management, device management, productivity software, and public cloud environments.
âš¡ Requirements
- Experience in Security or a Security-adjacent field, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues, manage projects independently, and prioritize efforts for risk reduction
- Proficiency with a scripting language such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar
- Knowledge of modern adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures
- Ability to empathize and work well with others
- Open to junior, mid-level, and senior candidates
