The role involves leading a team within Reddit's Growth team to connect users with the core value of community and provide relevant content and experiences
Responsibilities include building and operating a high-caliber, inclusive team of engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and executing on product and business strategies
The position requires participation in the full development cycle, from design to launch, and driving a culture of technical excellence to ensure high-quality outcomes
You will be instrumental in planning, developing, and implementing Reddit's backend service architecture and various client platforms, including native applications and web
The job also involves setting and enabling a culture of metrics-led execution, efficient processes, and transparency to drive successful outcomes
âš¡ Requirements
Proven experience in building and managing high-performing engineering teams, with at least 2 years of experience in this capacity
Strong software engineering background with 5+ years of experience developing user-facing applications
Fluency in working with product metrics and exposure to tools like GA, BigQuery, etc.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Deep focus on user experience and usability, with a keen understanding of how users interact with software
Entrepreneurial spirit, self-directed, innovative, and action-oriented, thriving in ambiguous environments
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams in a fully remote setting
