✨ About The Role
- The role involves contributing to the scaling and optimization of Aeon-R combustion device manufacturing and developing manufacturing processes for the Terran-R vehicle
- Responsibilities include owning manufacturing trades, developing processes for fabricating, testing, and delivering critical Aeon-R hardware and subassemblies
- Serving as the main point-of-contact between manufacturing and design teams to optimize Aeon-R architecture and scale manufacturing operations
- Working with design engineers to ensure hardware meets all aspects of the intended design, focusing on manufacturability and quality improvement
- Developing processes and procedures for post-processing of 3D printed parts and recommending design adaptations to improve reliability and throughput
⚡ Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related technical field with 3+ years of experience working with combustion devices or related hardware
- Ability to investigate, resolve, and screen hardware non-conformances, drive failure investigation efforts, and implement corrective actions
- Experience working with and training technicians and providing design feedback to improve product manufacturability
- Knowledge of general assembly and test procedures, including tolerance stack-up analysis and structural proof testing
- Comfortable working in a startup environment, with a passion for working through challenging issues unique to 3D printed and machined components
