- Develop high-quality development and production tooling for the Terran vehicle and Aeon engine programs
- Integrate mechanical design and analysis principles for various projects in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate closely with component designers, manufacturing engineers, and integration engineering to achieve optimal metrics
- Manage projects from vendor selection to equipment installation and commissioning of tooling
- Interpret and apply sound design and drafting standards in creating tooling drawing definitions
⚡ Requirements
- Experienced mechanical engineer with over 14 years of work or project experience in designing, building, and commissioning tooling and fixtures for manufacturing, assembly, and testing
- Proficient in using CAD and FEA-based analysis software such as NX and ANSYS Workbench for structural applications
- Strong understanding of common manufacturing materials, GD&T, tolerance/stack-up analysis, and manufacturing processes and machines
- Ability to manage projects including vendor selection, fabrication, inspection, equipment installation, and commissioning of tooling
- Bachelor of Science degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent
