✨ About The Role

- The role involves a full design cycle, including conceptualization, design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing of primary and secondary structures. - Responsibilities include innovative conceptualization of structural load paths and design for complex structures. - The candidate will review static and dynamic load inputs, material properties, and structural systems requirements. - Analysis and sizing of flight structures will be required to ensure timely design reviews and drawing releases. - The role includes developing and supporting hardware test campaigns, including test integration and result evaluation. - The candidate will support manufacturing process development and own their design from requirements to production. - Weekly tasks will involve designing flight components for the Terran R vehicle using NX/TeamCenter and performing analysis using Nastran and ANSYS.

⚡ Requirements

- The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in a design engineering role, demonstrating a strong background in mechanical or structural design. - A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline is required, with advanced degrees being a plus. - Significant experience with industry-standard CAD packages such as NX, Creo, or Solidworks is essential for success in this role. - The candidate should possess a working knowledge of structural analysis methods, including hand calculations and Finite Element Methods. - A fundamental understanding of structural strength, stability, and fatigue failure mechanisms is necessary. - Experience with both additive and traditional manufacturing processes will be beneficial. - The candidate should be self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of leading projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.
