- The Launch Engineer will be responsible for developing, commissioning, and operating a new launch pad from scratch at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
- This role involves all phases of the product lifecycle, including architecture definition, component selection, design, and operations.
- The engineer will develop and maintain interface and performance requirements for ground support equipment in coordination with the launch vehicle development team.
- Responsibilities include building, testing, and maintaining ground support equipment and supporting launch facilities.
- The engineer will provide oversight for integration activities and support launch operations on the day of launch.
⚡ Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in engineering, specifically in launch vehicle processing or critical ground support equipment hardware processing.
- A strong background in mechanical design and kinematics is essential for success in this role.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software, particularly Siemens NX, is required to effectively contribute to the design and integration processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to coordinate with multiple departments and disciplines.
- The candidate should possess the ability to prioritize tasks and execute them efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
