- The Hardware Engineer will design computer vision-based sensors and work closely with the firmware team to meet product specifications.
- Responsibilities include architecting and designing low-cost, low-power wireless sensors.
- The role involves making tradeoffs with mechanical and firmware/software engineering teams during product development.
- The engineer will be responsible for schematic capture, layout design, and developing high-volume products designed for manufacturability.
- They will support manufacturing bring-up and assemble and debug prototypes in collaboration with development partners.
- The position requires managing technical assignments of design partners and guiding testing and certification teams.
- Developing documentation and processes to ensure high product quality is a key responsibility.
- The engineer will also troubleshoot field return issues and develop hardware test plans.
⚡ Requirements
- A successful candidate will have an Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent with 4-8 years of experience in hardware development.
- They should possess strong experience with ARM and other modern microcontrollers (MCUs).
- The ideal candidate will be a system thinker capable of defining and guiding platform design.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting boards and systems is essential for this role.
- The candidate should have experience in low-cost and low-power portable consumer electronics design, particularly integrating video.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to work cross-functionally with various teams.
- The individual should be results-driven and able to work independently with minimal direction.
